Nate Pokrass joined the University of Wisconsin Athletic Department’s development staff in March 2005. Now as Senior Director of Development, Pokrass has a leadership role in developing, implementing and evaluating the identification, cultivation and solicitation strategies tied to a number of the Division’s development priorities.
In particular, Pokrass develops, manages and evaluates all aspects of the Division’s suite and club seat sales efforts. He also has oversight of the annual fund staff and program and its associated ticket, parking and special event benefits.
Pokrass came to UW from Illinois State University where he held the position of Director of Development from 2003-2005. During his time at ISU, he managed the athletic department’s annual giving program, coordinated stewardship events, donor travel, and the courtesy car program.
Prior to ISU, Pokrass served as the Director of Special Events and Ticket Operations at Drake University from 2000-2003. While at Drake, he managed ticket office sales and operations for all sport programs and the annual Drake Relays. Additionally, he coordinated athletic department special events and assisted with post-season team travel.
A native of Brookfield, WI, Pokrass graduated in 1998 from Monmouth College (IL) with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. While at Monmouth, Pokrass was a four-year baseball letter winner. In 2000, he earned a master’s degree in Sports Administration from Minnesota State University, Mankato. Nate and his wife, Gina, live with their son, Brady, in Sun Prairie.
