6:51 p.m. - No rest for the weary as the UWBadgers.com Gameday Blog transitions from East Lansing, Mich., and today's Badger football game to courtside at the Kohl Center for the UW men's exhibition opener against Augustana. I'll be back with updates after tip-off.

6:58 p.m. - Player introductions are underway, and there's a pretty good crowd crammed into the Kohl Center for their first look at the Badgers playing against someone other than themselves.

7:04 p.m. - Sorry for the delay ... 1-0 Badgers ... and Augustana is whistled for its fifth team foul. We are 1 minute, 6 seconds into the game, by the way.

7:05 p.m. - Marques Blank knocks in a leaner for the game's first basket and then hits a trey... gives the Vikings a 5-3 lead after Marcus Landy's lay-in on the other end.

7:07 p.m. - Trevon his a jumper and we're tied, 5-5 ... Jon Leuer in the game for the Badgers

7:09 p.m. - It's 7-5 Badgers as the teams break for the first media timeout at the 15:48 mark.

7:11 p.m. - A couple notes on Augustana ... the team went 22-9 last year, and head coach Tom Billeter is in his sixth season with the Vikings.

7:12 p.m. - Tim Jarvis enters the game to replace Trevon at the 15:18 mark and Landy puts one home on the out-of-bounds play under the Badgers' basket to make it 9-5 UW ... he adds another two points on the Badgers' next trip, and it's 11-7.

7:15 p.m. - Leuer makes it look easy off the glass after taking a smooth pass from Krabby at the UW lead is 13-7 ... 13 minutes to go, first half.

7:17 p.m. - Nathan Truex at the line for Augustana, and he hits both free throws ... but Krabby answers on the other end off a feed from Nankivil ...a 3-ball by the Vikings cuts the UW lead to 15-12 with 11:30 to go.

7:18 p.m. - Second media timeout, and the stats look good so far for the Badgers, who are shooting 58 percent (7-for-12) and have out-rebounded the Vikings, 7-4.

7:21 p.m. - Another foul on Augustana out of the timeout, and the Badgers will be in the bonus the rest of the way ... with 11:20 to go in the half.

7:22 p.m. - Marcus gets it going from downtown, knocking down a trey to extend the UW lead to 18-12, but Truex answers on the other end and it's 18-14 in favor of the Badgers.

7:24 p.m. - J-Bo on the line to shoot the 1-and-1 after another Augie foul, and he connects on both to make it 20-14 Badgers.

7:26 p.m. - Now it's Trevon's turn to shoot the 1-and-1, and he hits the first but gets all rim on the second ... nine team fouls on Augustana ... well, make that 10 after a whistle against Blank ... it's 23-14 after another pair of free throws by Jordan Taylor ... add in a mid-range jumper from J-Bo and it's 25-16 for the Badgers.

7:27 p.m. - Timeout by Augustana at the 8:11 mark .. Rob Wilson is now in the game for the Badgers.

7:28 p.m. - Another basket by Blank for Augustana ... he's 4-for-4 with 9 of the Vikings' 18 points ... time for under-8:00 timeout.

7:34 p.m. - Don't tell Krabby it's just an exhibition ... after knocking down a trey, he tried to finish off a steal on the other end and went over the courtside media table. He ended up a row deep in the stands, and I got a good view of the bottom of his shoes as he sailed over...

7:35 p.m. - Wilson connects on a runner, and it's 31-18 Badgers at the 5:59 mark ... Nankivil back in, while Ryan Evans checks in, too.

7:37 p.m. - Injury update: the only damage from Krabby's leap into the seats appears to be one bloody nose, although the fan that ended up with Joe in lap was wearing a smile as he was tended to by the Kohl Center staff.

7:38 p.m. - The Badgers have had good production throughout the lineup so far, with everyone Coach Ryan has cycled through contributing. Seven players have scored for the UW, with Marcus' 11 points (on 5-for-7 shooting) leading the way.

7:39 p.m. - Final media timeout of the half as the clock sits at 3:37 to play.

7:41 p.m. - Good crowd on hand to see the Badgers in action tonight ... and those of you who can't make it (or need to be visually stimulated more than this blog will allow) can check out a live webcast of the game at www.bigtennetwork.com

7:42 p.m. - Rob Wilson on the line shooting two (that's 12 team fouls for Augie now), and he hits both for a 35-21 Badger lead.

7:44 p.m. - Another foul on the Vikings, but on the offensive end so no shots for the Badgers ... 2:25 to go in the half.

7:45 p.m. - Trevon at the line after another foul on Augie (that's 14 for those of you scoring at home), and he connects on both to make it 37-21 Badgers with 2:00 to go.

7:47 p.m. - Gavinski for 3 ... but no good. The crowd really wanted that one from the 6-11 big man. Gavinski does his part on the Badgers' next trip, though, dishing to Jarvis for his first hoop of the night.

7:48 p.m. - Halftime at the Kohl Center, with the Badgers leading, 39-24 after finishing the half on a 21-12 run. I'll be back with updates in a few minutes.

8:03 p.m. - Back in the saddle as the second half gets underway ... It's interesting to see how many staff members literally got off the bus from after the return flight to Madison from today's football game in East Lansing and came directly to the Kohl Center... most notably Matt Lepay and Mike Lucas of the Wisconsin Radio Network, who are calling the game courtside

8:05 p.m. - Nice block by Nakivil followed up by a trey from J-Bo in transition ... nice sequence for the Badgers to open the half ... followed by a 3-ball from Landry to make it 45-24 two minutes into the half.

8:07 p.m. - The Badgers are 4-for-6 from 3-point land tonight and are shooting 52 percent overall ... not bad for their first night out. ... make that 5-for-7 as Marcus drains another trifecta to make it 48-29 for the Badgers.

8:08 p.m. - The numbers are changing faster than I can type them! J-Bo knocks down another trey and it's 51-31 Badgers ... Bohannon has 10 points on the night, with Marcus still leading the way with 17 on 7-for-9 shooting.

8:10 p.m. - Timeout called by Augustana after a 12-7 run by the Badgers to open the second half.

8:11 p.m. - This is turning into a case study for the NCAA on the new extended 3-point line ... the teams are a combined 12-for-19 from behind the arc tonight, including 3-for-3 shooting by Landry and a 2-for-3 effort from J-Bo.

8:13 p.m. - We're under 16 minutes, so it's the first media timeout of the half at the 15:50 mark, Badgers lead 53-34.

8:17 p.m. - Nice steal by Nankivil and Leuer finishes on the other end to make it 55-34 for the Badgers ... six steals now for the UW ... Marcus follows with another bucket on the Badgers' next possession and raises his game-high point total to 19 with 13:59 to go in the game.

8:18 p.m. - It's a young lineup on the floor for the Badgers, as Coach Ryan goes with Leuer, Wilson, Taylor, Tim Jarmusz and Jared Berggren on the floor. That's three freshman and a pair of sophomores ... and Leuer drains a triple to make it 62-40 Badgers with 12:15 to play.

8:20 p.m. - Truex knocks down a jumper for the Vikings, giving him 10 points ... interestingly, both squads are shooting 52 percent from the floor, but the Badgers have made 11 free throws while the Vikings have only attempted two. A 23-13 edge in rebounding doesn't hurt, either.

8:22 p.m. - Out of the under-12:00 media timeout, it's a five-second call for the Badgers on an out-of-bounds play under their own basket ... just the sixth turnover of the night for the UW

8:25 p.m. - Ryan Evans takes over! He storms in for an offensive rebound and then makes good on a put-back, and one! He knocks down the free throw to make it 65-44 Badgers at the 10:00 mark.

8:26 p.m. - Evans must like the attention, as he converts on another bucket the next time down the floor ... and then draws a foul on the Badgers' next trip, making good on one of two free throws. 68-44 with 8:45 to play.

8:28 p.m. - It's Blank again for the Vikings from 3-point land and he's got 13 for the game.

8:29 p.m. - Timeout, Badgers with a 68-46 lead and 7:35 left on the clock.

8:31 p.m. - Trevon with a block (the guy's 6-foot-even, give him some props) and Ian Markoff puts one home on the other end to make it 70-48 Badgers heading into the third media break of the second half at the 6:51 mark.

8:35 p.m. - Big applause as Krabby heads to the bench ... I know I haven't forgotten his leap into the stands, and apparently the crowd hasn't, either ... J-Bo tips in a put-back of a miss by Markoff after coming back into the game and it's 72-52 Badgers.

8:38 p.m. - It's hard to tell this is the first true competition for these teams this year, as both are shooting the ball really well. The teams are both shooting at a 51 percent clip, while the Badgers have a 54 percent mark from behind the arc to boot.

8:39 p.m. - Jon Leuer is tall. That makes it easy for him to drop in a one-hander in the lane to give him 13 points on the night. He joins Marcus (21) and J-Bo (12) in double-figures for the Badgers.

8:41 p.m. - Final media timeout with 3:42 to go in the game.

8:43 p.m. - Back at it out of the timeout, and Jon Leuer is still tall ... although this time it's J-Bo (at 6-2) that snags an offensive board. Taylor is fouled hard under the basket and goes to the line to shoot a pair ... he makes one and it's 76-54 with 3:10 to go.

8:44 p.m. - Leuer (still tall) strikes again off a nice backdoor look from Kevin Gullikson. Give him 15 and the Badgers a 79-54 lead with 1:29 to go.

8:47 p.m. - Out go the Tall Guy and J-Bo in favor of Brett Valentyn and Wquinton Smith. Leuer finishes with 15 on 7-for-11 shooting, while J-Bo drops in 12 by going 4-for-6 from the field.

8:48 p.m. - Taylor knocks down a pair of free throws to make it 81-55 with a minute to play.

8:49 p.m. - There's the buzzer and the Badgers improve to 1-0 on the season in games that don't actually count ... although I'm sure Coach Ryan and his staff will have plenty to analyze before their exhibition finale against UW-Whitewater on Nov. 11.

8:50 p.m. - A quick look at some of the final numbers: The Badgers shot 49 percent from the field and 47 percent from beyond the arc and also went 18-for-24 from the free-throw line. They also had seven steals while committing just eight turnovers and owned a 34-22 advantage in rebounding, including 13 offensive boards.

That's it from courtside, but check out UWBadgers.com for comprehensive coverage of the game and check back with the Gameday Blog on Nov. 11.
