6:09 p.m. - Badgers kneel twice and now they're chopping down the goalpost. Final score UW 41, Minnesota 34. UW keeps the axe, finishes the regular season 9-3, 5-3 in the Big Ten.

5:58 p.m. - Two runs by Brown brings up third-and-8. TD passes to Sean Lewis right at the sticks. Not far enough. Brings up fourth and inches. TO Minnesota.

5:53 p.m. - Minnesota squibs the kickoff and is offsides so the Badgers get the ball at the 33.

5:55 p.m. - Crazy things happen in the dome. Aaron Henry tipped the pass up in the air but a Minnesota reciver was in the right place and took it about 70 yards for the TD. 41-34 Wisconsin with 4:37 left.

5:53 p.m. - KO return only gets out to the 16-yard line. DeCremer pressure on first down forces and incompletion. Minnesota's Wheelwright over the middle for 13 and the first down. Weber is the single-season passing leader for Minnesota.

5:50 p.m. - The combination of technical difficulties and Coach Ryan's pre-game interviews accounted for the lull in the action. UW scored on a TD pass from Donovan to Beckum to take a 14-point lead but Minnesota answered to make it 34-27 with a TD pass of its own. After forcing the Badgers to punt, the Gophers fumbled the ensuing punt.

5:45 p.m. - Doesn't look like he was down. Amazing show of balance. After review, play stands. TD! Badgers lead 41-27 with 5:11 left.

5:47 p.m. - Zach Brown somehow wiggled his way into the end zone. He was falling and stumbling and now they will review it.

5:45 p.m. - Back. We'll catch up later. Minnesota just forced a punt but fumbles the return. Steve Johnson with recovery and the Badgers have the ball at the 15. Donovan on a bootleg takes it down to the 5.

5:02 p.m. - Minnesota ties it up on a run around left end. 20-20 with 1:51 left.

4:54 p.m. - Minnesota converts a third-and-12 with a pass over the middle.

4:47 p.m. - Second down gets nothing bringing up a big third down. TO Wisconsin.

4:42 p.m. - Looks like Zach Brown is going to get a lot of carries in the second half. As soon as I say that, Quincy Landingham gets his first carry of the game. Badgers facing second-and-7 from their 28.  Donovan over the middle to Graham up around midfield.

4:40 p.m. - Gilreath fair catch on the 10-yard line. TV timeout.

4:38p.m. - Mehlhaff with another touchback. Minnesota picks up a first down. Big pass down the middle brings Minny into UW territory. Kirk DeCremer gets Weber in the backfield to set up third-and-13. Minnesota goes deep but the pass is just overthrown.

3:56 p.m. - 1:59 left in the half. They just showed TD running off into the locker room with some ice on his hand. Minnesota takes the KO out to the 31-yard line.

3:52 p.m. - The "King of Spin" Tyler Donovan on the bootleg takes it the rest of the way, spinning out of a tackle at the 3 and then diving headfirst into the end zone. 13-10 Minnesota.

3:51 p.m. - Big third down here. Reverse to Gilreath gets down to the eight and the first down.

3:50 p.m. - "Travis Beckum is a highlight waiting to happen" according to Chris Martin. Have to agree with him after that catch. He goes high over the middle and then gets upended and holds onto the ball. UW down to the Minnesota 24.

Pass to the back out of the backfield overthrown. UM converts on the field goal, 13-3 Minnesota with 12:10 left in the half.

3:21 p.m. -
Seem to be alot of Wisconsin fans in the Dome. Chris Martin gives us the first "throw the records out the window" reference of the day. Interception Minnesota. Donovan tried to hit Hubbard on the sideline but the UM defender cut in front. UM ball inside the Badger 30.

3:18 p.m. - Touchdown Minnesota. Play-action pass, hits the Minnesota receiver on the post. UM 10-3 with 14:56 left in the half.

3:15 p.m. - That's the end of the first quarter. Minnesota will have first-and-10 from about the UW 25.

3:13 p.m. - Wayne Larrivee and Chris Martin on the call today. Minnesota's QB on the spread option goes for about 15. Third and short for Minnesota looks like the Badgers have it stopped. Minny going for a fourth and inches inside UW's 30. They got it.

3:08 p.m. - Measurement shows UW is short by one chain link. Badgers to punt from their own 22. Gophers to take over at their own 45 or so.

3:07 p.m. - Good KO coverage and a false start has the Badgers starting their drive at the seven-yard line. Zach Brown got the start as P.J. Hill did not make the trip. Donovan has scrambled a couple times for some good yardage. His second-down run sets up a short third down. Brown gets close ...

3:03 p.m. - UW's first drive was a good mix of runs and passes. On third down inside the 10, Donovan tried to get Garrett Graham in the end zone but he was sandwiched as he caught te ball, knocking it free. Mehlhaff came on to convert the short FG.

3:00 p.m. - Late start on the blog as we're trying to get ready for the MBB games today. The Badgers kick a field goal on their first drive and now the Gophers are driving. Third-down pass caught, but out of bounds. The Gophers now going for a 47-yard FG ... good. Game tied 3-3 with 5:27 left in the first quarter.

2:41 p.m. - Here live, not from the HHH Metrodome in Minneapolis but the media room in the Kohl Center. Didn't make the trip this weekend because of the America's Youth Classic and tahnks to DirectTV we can watch the game here at the KC. I'll be giving updates to all those who can't see it on TV today.
