Can you call it “spring practice” when the temperature here this morning was in the single digits?
The 2008 Wisconsin football season officially got underway inside (thankfully) the McClain Center this morning. The Badgers’ first practice of the spring started at around 10 a.m. and was a 24-period workout in helmets only.
A good media turnout despite everything else going on with our Badger teams this time of year. We had about a dozen reporters watching, with running back P.J. Hill and quarterback Allan Evridge being the primary focuses of the media attention after practice.
This was the latest practice we’ll have before spring break. The team will work out at 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday and Thursday of next week. Adam Rittenberg, who covers college football for ESPN.com, will be at Tuesday’s practice.
