It’s pretty quiet on the football front here at Camp Randall. The players are on spring break and the coaches are out of the office, as well.
Many of us in the athletic department spent the weekend in Indianapolis watching the men’s basketball team win the Big Ten Tournament. Included among the fans at Conseco Fieldhouse were former Badger quarterback Jim Sorgi, now with the Indianapolis Colts. I was able to catch Jim for a quick “hello.” He looks and sounds good. Seeing him always reminds me of the 2003 season he had and all the TD passes he threw to Lee Evans, especially the five in that game against Michigan State.
Speaking of former Badgers, I came across an interesting story on Mark Anelli, a tight end here who lettered from 1998-01. Check it out, it’s worth reading.
